I quite enjoyed working on this piece, I think that the secret to getting in the right groove is to have some good beer and good music. This scene was quite a challenge to do, but I feel like it helped me develop more because of it. I used T Madden's 5 analogous + 1 complementary color technique and it seemed to work out pretty well. I think that the illustration captures the feel of Sweden's West coastline. I just wished that I hadn't muddied up some of the lower parts of the illustration.
